Pastor Salmon’s surgery went very well. The surgeon considers it a success. Dad was in Neuro-ICU for the first night, just as a precautionary measure. The nurses all remembered him from being there initially (after his stroke in October) and were amazed at how far he had come. He entered the hospital able to talk, with no trach, no feeding tube and no catheter. He was able to carry on conversations with the nurses and doctors, asking his own questions and letting them know about his pain level etc. Please continue to pray against any infection, which is the greatest risk from the surgery. Infection would mean more surgery.
The neuro doctor that treated him in the hospital is ordering a full neurological evaluation, since there has not been one done since his stroke. They are also looking into the possibility of some more intense physical therapy (other than the physical therapy that he is getting at home) for his upper body, perhaps on an outpatient basis, to get him ready to use his right leg and a prosthetic.
Thank you for praying for the surgery and for continuing to pray for a complete healing. It’s just amazing to see what God has done these last ten months.

IT WAS PAST TIME FOR SHARON TO GO HOME. I WAS SO LONELY. THERE IS A CHURCH JUST UP THE ROAD. PASTOR BOBBY WEST. I THINK I WENT TO SCHOOL WITH HIM. IF NOT MY BROTHER DID. I sure miss getting to fellowship with Pastor Salmon! Part of who I am today as a minister is the result of his ministry to me and my family.
