Mmmmm…that was dad’s response to his first bite of solid food (albeit soft solid food) since October, 2009 as he leaned back against his pillow and savored the taste of creamed potatoes. The FEES test revealed that dad could indeed swallow. He has some weakness on his left side which the doctor feels like will strengthen with time. Until then his diet will be soft foods, which is much better than no food. He has requested an egg white sandwich, which was his customary breakfast each morning before having the stroke.
The surgery performed last week continues to prove to be succesful. He has no infection at all and, as a result, no fevers. He will be coming home tomorrow from the hospital. Dad’s voice also continues to strengthen and become more audible as his overall physical strength is improving. He was able to trade the trach that he has been using (one with a balloon) to one that does not require a balloon, which is one step closer to being able to be without a trach altogether.
Thank you for your continued prayers for dad’s healing. Blessings to you.
Praise God. I am so glad to hear how well your dad is doing and we continue to lift him up in prayer. God said in prophesy that he would heal his servant and I have always believed that. We love you all. Nairani Hall

What a blessing it is to read good reports about continued healing. Please let Pastor Salmon know we are still praying for him and believing for complete healing. I really miss seeing his smiling face when he sung “Glory, glory from his heart. I know that one day he will sing it again and we will give God all the glory, glory.
